MLB: Milwaukee 4, Cincinnati 3

MILWAUKEE, Sept. 10 (UPI) -- Mike Cameron's eighth inning RBI single Wednesday helped the Milwaukee Brewers to a 4-3 win over the Cincinnati Reds.

Starter C.C. Sabathia also knocked in one run.

One run scored on an eighth inning double play groundout by Tony Gwynn and one scored on Jeff Keppinger's seventh inning throwing error.

Eight players had one hit each for the Brewers, who won for just the third time in their last 10 games, but lead Philadelphia by 3 ½ games in the NL wild card chase.

The winning pitcher was reliever Guillermo Mota (5-5). Salomon Torres earned his 27th save.

Sabathia was trying to run his unbeaten streak to 18 consecutive starts.

Cincinnati scored all of its runs on a one-out, three-run fifth inning homer by Jerry Hairston Jr.

Keppinger had two of the eight hits for the Reds, have lost four of their last 10 games.

The losing pitcher was reliever David Weathers (2-6).
