
PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 10 (UPI) -- Ricky Nolasco yielded three earned runs in 7 2/3 innings Wednesday to help the Florida Marlins to a 7-3 win over the Philadelphia Phillies.
Nolasco (14-7) gave up seven hits with one walk and eight strikeouts and helped his cause on the mound with a fourth-inning RBI single.
One of Luis Gonzalez' two hits was a third inning, two-run home run.
Like Gonzalez, Dan Uggla had two hits and two RBI.
Two others had one RBI and Mike Jacobs had two hits for the Marlins.
Three Philadelphia players drove in one run, including Ryan Howard, who belted his 42nd home run in the second.
Six others had one hit for the Phillies, who dropped to three games back of the NL East-leading New York Mets.
Losing pitcher Brett Myers (9-11) allowed four earned runs and eight hits in 7 1/3 innings with walk and nine strikeouts.
