CHICAGO, Sept. 9 (UPI) -- Lyle Overbay hit a two-run double Tuesday, keying Toronto's 3-1 win over the Chicago White Sox in the opener of a day-night doubleheader.

Joe Inglett singled home the other run for the Blue Jays, who have won nine consecutive games.

A.J. Burnett (17-10) picked up his first victory in four starts after giving up just one hit and one run over seven innings. He struck out seven with one walk. B.J. Ryan worked around trouble in the ninth for his 28th save.

Jim Thome drove in the lone run for the White Sox. Losing pitcher Javier Vazquez (11-13) gave up only two runs on five hits in six innings.
