BALTIMORE, Sept. 7 (UPI) -- Jack Cust homered twice and knocked in three runs Saturday, lifting the Oakland Athletics to a 5-1 win over Baltimore in the second game of a doubleheader.

The opener was rained out Saturday afternoon. No makeup date was set.

Cust hammered his former team with a sacrifice fly in the top of the first and solo homers in the third and fourth. Jack Hannahan's lone hit was a solo shot in the fifth. Rajai Davis had two hits and one RBI and, like Cust and Davis, Aaron Cunningham had two hits for the Athletics, who have won two in a row.

Winning pitcher Greg Smith (7-14) yielded three hits in seven scoreless innings with no walks and five strikeouts.

Baltimore's lone run scored on Nick Markakis' eighth-inning RBI groundout. Kevin Millar had two of the five hits in the Orioles' eighth straight loss.

The losing pitcher was starter Daniel Cabrera (8-9), who walked six batters in three innings.
