FLUSHING MEADOWS, N.Y., Sept. 7 (UPI) -- Cara Black and Liezel Huber, the top-seeded team, won the women's U.S. Open doubles title Sunday, beating Lisa Raymond and Samantha Smith in straight sets.

Black, of Zimbabwe, and Huber, of the United States, won 6-3, 7-6 (8-6).

Black and Huber did not lose a set in the tournament.

The title was their fourth as a doubles team in major events. They also won twice at Wimbledon and once at the Australian Open.

Raymond, of the United States, and Stosur, of Australia, have teamed up to win the doubles title in two majors -- the U.S. Open in 2005 and the French Open in 2006.
