MLB: Pittsburgh 7, San Francisco 0

SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 6 (UPI) -- Zach Duke produced an unexpected complete game Friday in leading the Pittsburgh Pirates to a 7-0 blanking of San Francisco.

Duke (5-14) had lost his previous nine decisions, but he allowed just six hits and struck out four while throwing 112 pitches.

Ryan Doumit had four of Pittsburgh's 15 hits and scored twice. Brandon Moss delivered a two-run triple in the seventh and a sacrifice fly in the ninth.

Kevin Correia (3-8) took the loss, surrendering three runs on seven hits in 4 1/3 innings.
