MILWAUKEE, Sept. 6 (UPI) -- Ben Sheets hurled a complete-game five-hit shutout and Prince Fielder knocked in the only run Saturday in the Milwaukee Brewers' 1-0 win over San Diego.

Sheets (13-7) walked one batter, fanned seven, and 82 of his 120 pitches were strikes. While winning his career-high 13th game this season, he did not allow more than one base runner in any inning in his third complete game this season and 18th of his career.

Fielder produced his 82nd RBI this season with a double in the bottom of the third.

Five other players had one hit for the Brewers, who have split their last 10 games and remain 3 ½ games back of the NL Central-leading Chicago Cubs.

Luis Rodriguez had three hits and Chase Headley had two for the Padres, who also have split their last 10 contests.

Losing pitcher Jake Peavy (9-10) yielded an earned run and five hits in seven innings with four walks and five strikeouts.
