COL FB: Wake Forest 30, Mississippi 28

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., Sept. 6 (UPI) -- Sam Swank kicked a 41-yard field goal with three seconds left to play Saturday to give the 20th-ranked Wake Forest Demon Deacons a 30-28 win over Mississippi.

The Demon Deacons were led by quarterback Riley Skinner, who hit 32-of-43 passes for 267 yards and two touchdowns. D.J. Boldin caught 11 passes for 123 yards and Marshall Williams and Kevin Harris both caught touchdown passes for Wake Forest (2-0).

Brandon Pendergrass got 44 of his 49 rushing yards on a fourth-quarter march, finishing with a 12-yard TD run for Wake Forest.

Texas Longhorn transfer Jevan Snead completed 20-of-31 for 253 yards and four touchdowns for Mississippi. Shay Hodge caught five passes for 66 yards and a touchdown and Dexter McCluster had four receptions for 64 yards and a score for the Rebels (1-1).

Brandon Bolden picked up 36 yards on the ground and 43 through the air on two catches.
