NEW YORK, Sept. 5 (UPI) -- Andy Roddick, James Blake and the doubles team of Bob and Mike Bryan have been named to represent the United States in the 2008 Davis Cup semifinals.

U.S. team captain Patrick McEnroe Friday said the same squad the United States fielded for 11 consecutive Davis Cup events will take the court Sept. 19-21.

The United States meets Spain, which will likely be anchored by world No. 1 Rafael Nadal, in the Davis Cup semifinals. The matches, to be played on Nadal's favorite surface of clay, are to be in Madrid.

Under the Davis Cup format, two singles matches are played Friday, a doubles match takes place Saturday and reverse singles are scheduled for Sunday with the team that wins three matches advancing to the finals Nov. 21-23. Russia plays at Argentina in the other semifinal.

Roddick owns a nine-match Davis Cup winning streak while Blake is 17-8 all-time in Davis Cup singles play. The Bryan brothers have won 14 of their 16 Davis Cup matches.

The United States, the defending cup champion, is looking for its 33rd Davis Cup title.
