LOS ANGELES, Sept. 3 (UPI) -- Manny Ramirez and Blake DeWitt homered and James Loney drove in two more runs Tuesday in the Los Angeles Dodgers' 8-4 win over San Diego.

Ramirez cranked a two-run homer, while DeWitt's was a solo shot.

Clayton Kershaw, (3-5) just recalled from the minors, went seven-plus innings, allowing three runs on three hits and three walks. He struck out six.

The win moved the Dodgers within 1 1/2 games of Arizona in the National League West. The Diamondbacks fell to St. Louis Tuesday.

Cha Seung Baek (4-9) was shelled for seven runs on eight hits and two walks in 3 2/3 frames.

Kevin Kouzmanoff had two RBI for the Padres, who had won five of six games previously.
