MLB: Colorado 6, San Francisco 5 (12 inn.)

DENVER, Sept. 3 (UPI) -- Ryan Spilborghs singled in Omar Quintanilla in the bottom of the 12th inning Tuesday, delivering Colorado a 6-5 win over San Francisco.

The Rockies, who have won seven of 10 to remain within five games of first place in the National League West, also got a two-run homer from Troy Tulowitzki.

The win went to Jason Grilli (3-1), who completed the final three innings. The loss went to Keiichi Yabu (3-6.

Omar Vizquel drove in three runs for the Giants, who now have lost five straight.

Starters Tim Lincecum and Livan Hernandez each gave up five runs.
