WASHINGTON, Aug. 31 (UPI) -- Elijah Dukes drove in the winning run Saturday with a 10th-inning bases loaded walk, giving the Washington Nationals their fifth straight win, 9-8 over Atlanta.
Dukes was one of three Washington players with two hits in the game. Anderson Hernandez, who had three RBI, was one of three players with three hits.
Ronny Belliard had two hits and two RBI and Jesus Flores hit a three-run fifth-inning double for the Nationals, who have won seven of their last 10 games.
The winning pitcher was Steven Shell (1-1).
Atlanta's Martin Prado had three hits, one a fifth-inning solo homer. Brian McCann and Chipper Jones hit solo homers and both had two hits and two RBI.
Two others had two hits and Humberto Blanco had one RBI for the Braves, who have dropped seven of 10.
The losing pitcher was Vladimir Nunez (0-2).
