MLB: Cincinnati 9, San Francisco 3

CINCINNATI, Aug. 31 (UPI) -- Joey Votto's four hits and four RBI Sunday guided the Cincinnati Reds to a 9-3 rout of San Francisco, completing a three-game sweep.

The slugging first baseman's biggest hit was a three-run, seventh-inning double.

He was intentionally walked in the sixth with one man on and one out.

Winning pitcher Brandon Arroyo hit a fifth-inning, two-run double.

Jeff Kepinger had two hits and one RBI and two others drove in one run for the Reds, who have won four of their last six contests.

Arroyo (13-10) gave up two earned runs and 10 hits in seven innings with no walks and five strikeouts.

San Francisco got one RBI each from three players. Four players had two hits for the Giants, who have lost five of their last six games.

Losing pitcher Matt Cain (8-11) yielded five earned runs and eight hits in five innings.
