COL FB: Alabama 34, Clemson 10

ATLANTA, Aug. 31 (UPI) -- John Parker Wilson was 22-of-30 passing for 180 yards and two touchdowns Saturday to lead Alabama to an upset 34-10 win over No. 9 Clemson.

Mark Ingram rushed for 96 yards and Glen Coffee picked up 90 yards for the Crimson Tide, who controlled the ball for 41:13.

Julio Jones caught a touchdown pass and Nick Walker caught seven passes for 67 yards and a TD.

The Alabama defense clamped down on the Tigers, limiting Clemson to 188 yards of total offense.

C.J. Spiller and James Davis rushed for a combined 20 yards for Clemson, which did not manage an offensive touchdown.

Spiller scored the Tiger's only TD on a kickoff return.
