
NEW YORK, Aug. 30 (UPI) -- The Toronto Blue Jays scored five times in the late innings Saturday, rallying to edge the New York Yankees 7-6.
The eventual game-winning run scored on Gregg Zaun's fielder's choice groundout with one out in the top of the eighth.
Toronto's Joe Inglett and Jose Bautista both had two hits and two RBI.
One of Vernon Wells's two hits was a fourth-inning, two-run homer.
Adam Lind had two hits with two runs for the Blue Jays, who broke a three-game losing streak.
The winning pitcher was reliever Brandon League (1-2). Closer B.J. Ryan earned his 25th save.
New York's Hideki Matsui hit a two-run, fifth-inning double.
Robinson Cano and Ivan Rodriguez hit back-to-back, fourth-inning solo homers and had two hits apiece.
Two others had one RBI, while Derek Jeter and Bobby Abreu added two hits each for the Yankees, who finished with a 14-game split in the season series.
The losing pitcher was Damaso Marte (0-3).
