NFL: Jacksonville 24, Washington 3

LANDOVER, Md., Aug. 28 (UPI) -- David Garrard, Cleo Lemon and Todd Bouman all threw touchdown passes Thursday, carrying Jacksonville to a 24-3 exhibition decision over Washington.

The Redskins managed only a second-period field goal and were held to less than 200 yards total offense.

Garrard lofted a three-yard scoring pass to Reggie Williams in the first period, Lemon's scoring throw was a four-yarder to Greg Estandia in the second and Bouman threw 51 yards to Troy Williamson for a fourth-period score.

Jacksonville (3-1) will begin its regular season on the road against Tennessee and Washington (3-2) will go to the New York Giants for the NFL's opener next Thursday.
