INDIANAPOLIS, Aug. 28 (UPI) -- Chris Perry and Glenn Holt scored in the game's first 16 minutes Thursday and Cincinnati closed its exhibition season with a 27-7 win over Indianapolis.

Perry scored on a five-yard run to end a drive that consumed 11:22 of the first period. Holt then caught a nine-yard touchdown pass from Ryan Fitzpatrick on the first play of the second quarter to make it 14-0.

Jared Lorenzen and Quinn Gray -- expected to battle for the No. 3 quarterbacking spot on the Indianapolis roster -- shared time. Lorenzen got the best of it with nine completions in 16 attempts for 91 yards.

Peyton Manning has missed the entire pre-season, but is expected to start in the Colts' season opener.

Cincinnati (2-2) will begin its campaign in Baltimore and Indianapolis (1-4) will play host in the first Sunday night game of the season against Chicago.
