SEATTLE, Aug. 27 (UPI) -- Jeff Clement drove in two runs Tuesday, propelling the Seattle Mariners to a 3-2 victory over the Minnesota Twins.

Jose Lopez got the Mariners' other RBI when he drove in Adrian Beltre, who went 3-for-4.

The Twins, who fell two games behind Chicago in the American League Central, managed just two runs on five hits and a couple of walks in seven innings against Ryan Rowland-Smith (3-2). One of those hits was Randy Ruiz's first career homer.

Roy Corcoran came in for the eighth and ninth innings and got his first career save.

Scott Baker (7-4) gave up three runs on 10 hits in 6 2/3 innings for the Twins, who have dropped four straight.

Alexi Casilla bunted and eventually scored when Justin Morneau hit into a double-play to account for the Twins' other run.
