MLB: Chicago White Sox 8, Baltimore 3

BALTIMORE, Aug. 26 (UPI) -- Orlando Cabrera was 4-for-5 with two doubles, a triple, two RBI and three runs scored Tuesday, fueling a Chicago White Sox 8-3 win over Baltimore.

Carlos Quentin was 3-for-5 with two doubles, one RBI and one run scored and Nick Swisher hit a two-run homer for the White Sox, who have won three straight.

Winning pitcher Gavin Floyd (14-6) gave up two runs on four hits with a walk in eight innings for Chicago, which moved 1 1/2 games ahead of Minnesota for first place in the American League Central. The Twins were playing a late game at Seattle.

Luke Scott drove in a pair of runs, while Brian Burres (7-8), who was recalled from Norfolk before the game, gave up six runs on 10 hits in five innings for the Orioles, who have lost five straight and seven of eight.
