
SAN DIEGO, Aug. 25 (UPI) -- Malcom Floyd caught a two-point conversion pass from Billy Volek in closing moments Monday to give San Diego an 18-17 pre-season victory over Seattle.
Phillip Rivers was 11-for-21 for 143 yards and Darren Sproles ran for 102 yards on 13 carries with a TD for the Chargers. Vincent Jackson caught three passes for 84 yards in the victory.
Seattle's Charlie Frye completed 19-of-29 passes for 219 yards and two touchdowns. Nate Burleson caught a 68-yard touchdown pass and Jordan Kent had 47 yards receiving with a touchdown.
Kent's 12-yard touchdown pass from Frye with 11:03 to go in the fourth period gave the Seahawks a 17-10 edge. The Chargers regained the lead with just over two minutes to go when Jacob Hester completed a five-play, 69-yard drive with a one-yard score and San Diego elected to go for two.
