PHILADELPHIA, Aug. 25 (UPI) -- Brett Myers pitched seven shutout innings and Jimmy Rollins had two RBI Monday to lead the Philadelphia Phillies to a 5-0 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Philadelphia completed its first four-game sweep of the Dodgers in 23 years, since Aug. 29-Sept. 1, 1985, after being swept four games earlier this month in Los Angeles.
Myers (7-10), victorious in four of his five decisions since being recalled from the minor leagues, scattered nine hits and three walks while adding eight strikeouts for Philadelphia, which has won seven of its last eight games.
The Phillies start a two-game series with the NL East-leading Mets Tuesday, trailing the division leaders by just a half-game.
Losing pitcher Chad Billingsley (12-10) gave up three runs on seven hits and five walks in six innings.
Matt Kemp and Russell Martin each had three hits, but the Dodgers stranded 14 runners.
