MLB: Cleveland 4, Detroit 3 (10 innings)

DETROIT, Aug. 25 (UPI) -- Franklin Gutierrez hit a 10th-inning homer Monday to give the Cleveland Indians their eighth straight victory, 4-3 over the Detroit Tigers.

Gutierrez hit a game-winning ninth-inning RBI Sunday against the Texas Rangers.

Grady Sizemore had his sixth career multi-homer game, hitting two homers in the first three innings for the Indians.

Cleveland's Zach Jackson gave up three runs on seven hits in 6 1/3 innings while striking out seven without a walk.

Brendan Donnelly (1-0) pitched a perfect ninth for the win and Jensen Lewis a perfect 10th for his seventh consecutive save.

Gary Glover (1-3) got the loss after giving up the home run in the 10th.

Marcus Thames and Edgar Renteria homered, and Brandon Inge drove in the other run for the Tigers.
