Chicago scored five of its runs on homers, with Mark DeRosa's solo leading off the second, Geovany Soto hitting a two-run shot in the second and Kosuke Fukodome hitting a two-run pinch homer in the seventh.
Aramis Ramirez had one RBI and DeRosa, hitting a homer in his fourth straight contest, had two hits for the National League Central-leading Cubs, who won twice in the three-game series.
Washington's lone run scored on Austin Kearns's lead-off homer in the third.
Three others had one hit for the Nationals, who have dropped 14 of 16.
Losing pitcher Jason Bergmann (2-10) yielded four earned runs and four hits in 6 1/3 innings with four walks and six strikeouts.
