Olympic Medal: W High Jump

BEIJING, Aug. 23 (UPI) -- Tia Hellebaut of Belgium won the Olympic gold medal Saturday in the women's high jump.

Blanka Vlasic of Croatia took the silver and Anna Chicherova of Russia the bronze.

It was the first gold medal of the Olympics for Belgium.
