NFL: Carolina 47, Washington 3

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Aug. 23 (UPI) -- Jonathan Stewart and DeAngelo Williams each had 100-yard rushing games and a TD Saturday when Carolina pounded Washington, 47-3 in a pre-season game.

Jake Delhomme was 11-of-19 for 159 yards and two touchdowns and Steve Smith had two touchdowns, one on a reception and the other after picking up an offensive fumble for the Panthers.

John Kasay was 4-for-4 on field goal attempts, including a 52-yarder.

For the Redskins, Jason Campbell was 6-of-10 for 39 yards and Todd Collins 9-of-15 for 79 yards. Colt Brennan finished out the game and went 6-of-12 for 53 yards.
