TORONTO, Aug. 23 (UPI) -- Taylor Twellman scored for New England and Chad Barrett scored for Toronto FC Saturday when the two teams played to a 1-1 Major League Soccer tie.

The Revolution is now tied with the Columbus Crew at the top of the Eastern Conference table. Both teams are 11-6-4 after the Crew defeated Real Salt Lake Saturday.

Twellman broke a scoreless tie in the 35th minute when he took a perfect cross from Chris Tierney on the left side and scored his fourth goal of the season and third in the last four games after coming back from ankle and knee injuries.

Toronto tied the score in the 66th minute when Barrett drove the ball past a diving Doug Warren, who was making his second consecutive start for injured New England goalkeeper Matt Reis.
