COLUMBUS, Ohio, Aug. 23 (UPI) -- Guillermo Barros Schelotto scored and added his league-leading 13th and 14th assists Saturday to lead Columbus a 3-0 win over Real Salt Lake.
The victory boosted the Crew (11-6-4) into a first-place tie with New England in Major League Soccer's Eastern Conference.
Schelotto, who played just 63 minutes, made a penalty kick for his fifth goal of the year and assisted on goals by Chad Marshall and Brad Evans.
Real Salt Lake (7-8-6) lost the top spot in the Western Conference last week.
