
SEATTLE, Aug. 23 (UPI) -- Jeff Clement had three hits and three RBI Friday night to lead Seattle past Oakland 7-5, ending the Mariners' seven-game losing streak.
Seattle starter Ryan Feierabend went five innings, allowing one run on five hits with five strikeouts and no walks, but he did not figure in the decision.
Roy Corcoran (4-0) pitched two shutout innings in relief to get the win.
Jose Lopez had two hits, two RBI and two runs scored for the Mariners.
Oakland starter Gio Gonzalez allowed four runs on five hits in five innings with three walks and seven strikeouts.
Jerry Blevins (1-3) took the loss, giving up three runs on five hits in 1 2/3 innings.
Rajai Davis had three hits, including a solo homer, and Daric Barton had two hits and drove in a run for Oakland, which lost for the third time in four games.
