MILWAUKEE, Aug. 23 (UPI) -- Ryan Braun's two hits and three RBI Saturday keyed the Milwaukee Brewers' 6-3 victory against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
In his second game back from a back ailment, Braun hit a solo fourth-inning homer and a two-run fifth-inning double.
Prince Fielder hit a pair of RBI singles. Corey Hart hit a sacrifice fly in the first while three players scored twice for the Brewers, winners of 13 of their last 17 games.
Winner Jeff Suppan (9-7) surrendered three earned runs and eight hits in seven innings.
Closer Salomon Torres earned his 25th save with a 1-2-3 ninth.
Three Pittsburgh players had one RBI apiece. One of Adam LaRoche's two hits was a sixth-inning solo homer. Raul Chavez also had two hits in the Pirates' third straight defeat.
Losing pitcher Tom Gorzelanny (6-8) yielded six earned runs and seven hits in 4 2/3 innings.
