NFL: Philadelphia 27, New England 17

FOXBOROUGH, Mass., Aug. 22 (UPI) -- Quintin Demps scored on a 101-yard kickoff return for the Philadelphia Eagles, who beat the winless New England Patriots 27-17 Friday in a pre-season game.

DeSean Jackson returned a punt 76 yards for another long touchdown for Philadelphia (2-1).

Donovan McNabb passed for 180 yards and a touchdown and backup quarterback Kevin Kolb tossed for 106 yards for the Eagles.

Matt Gutierrez threw for 217 yards and two touchdowns for the Patriots (0-3), who have been playing without their regular quarterback, Tom Brady, who is sidelined with a foot injury.
