Olympic Medal: W Beach Volleyball

BEIJING, Aug. 21 (UPI) -- Kerri Walsh and Misty May-Treanor of the United States won the Olympic gold medal Thursday in women's beach volleyball.

It was their second straight Olympic triumph and came in their 108th consecutive match victory.

The silver medal went to Wang Jie and Tian Jia of China. The bronze was won by China's Xue Chen and Zhang Xi.
