CLEVELAND, Aug. 21 (UPI) -- Cliff Lee became the American League's first 18-game winner this year and Grady Sizemore knocked in seven runs Thursday in Cleveland's 10-3 rout of Kansas City.
The win finished a three-game sweep and ran Cleveland's winning streak to four games.
Sizemore had four hits, including a three-run triple in the bottom of the first inning, a sixth-inning RBI single and a three-run home run in the eighth.
The Indians' Shin-Soo Choo hit a two-run third inning home run, while Jhonny Peralta hit a solo home run in the seventh.
Lee (18-2) yielded three runs -- two earned -- and six hits in seven innings with two walks and seven strikeouts.
Kansas City scored on Mark Teahen's two-run double and Tony Pena Jr.'s RBI single, both in the fifth. Mike Aviles had two of the eight hits in the Royals' fifth straight defeat.
Losing pitcher Zack Greinke (9-9) surrendered five runs -- one earned -- and six hits in five innings.
