BALTIMORE, Aug. 21 (UPI) -- Melvin Mora and Ramon Hernandez slammed three-run home runs Wednesday, powering the Baltimore Orioles past the Boston Red Sox 11-6.
The Orioles trailed by four early but the two homers helped them erase the deficit and run up a 10-4 lead by the fourth inning.
Mora finished with four RBI. Brian Roberts added two hits and two RBI and Juan Castro and Lou Montanez each drove in a run for Baltimore.
Jason Bay hit a solo home run for Boston.
Winning pitcher Chris Waters (2-0) gave up five runs and eight hits in five innings.
The loser, Clay Buchholz (2-9), allowed five runs and three hits in 2 1/3 innings.
