BEIJING, Aug. 20 (UPI) -- Ramazan Sahin of Turkey won the Olympic gold medal Wednesday in the 66-kilogram class of men's freestyle wrestling.

Turkey became the 47th nation to win a gold medal in Beijing.

The silver went to Otar Tushishvili of Georgia and the bronze to Sushil Kumar of India. It was the second medal of these Olympics for India, only the second time that country has won more than one medal in a single Games. Abhinav Bindra captured the men's air rifle competition earlier in the Olympics, which was the first gold medal won by India in a sport other than field hockey.

India also won two medals in 1952 at Helsinki.
