BEIJING, Aug. 20 (UPI) -- Usain Bolt of Jamaica won the Olympic gold medal Wednesday in the 200-meter dash.

He broke Michael Johnson's world record by running a 19.30 and became the first man to win both the Olympic 100 and 200 since Carl Lewis did so in 1984.

Churandy Martina of Netherlands Antilles won the silver, the second medal ever for that country. The bronze went to Shawn Crawford of the United States.
