Tommie Harris' wife dies

ARLINGTON, Texas, Aug. 20 (UPI) -- Matt Joyce had two home runs and four RBI and the Detroit Tigers scored nine runs in the seven inning Tuesday in an 11-3 rout of the Texas Rangers.
Edgar Renteria added a solo shot for the Tigers, who have won four of their last six games. Gary Sheffield, Miguel Cabrera and Magglio Ordonez each had an RBI for the Tigers.
Detroit's Armando Galarraga (12-4) allowed three runs on six hits in six innings.
Chris Davis had a three-run homer for all the Rangers' runs. Texas has lost 11 of its last 13 games.
Vicente Padilla (12-7) was the losing pitcher after giving up five runs on eight hits in six-plus innings.
