It gave Chicago an 8-0 lead with two outs in the bottom of the second inning.

Alexei Ramirez and A.J. Pierzynski both hit three-run homers.

Nick Swisher had two hits, one a sixth inning solo shot.

Pierzynski had three hits and four White Sox players had two hits.

Winner Gavin Floyd (13-6) gave up three earned runs and six hits in six innings with two walks and seven strikeouts.

Seattle's Raul Ibanez hit an RBI single and a two-run homer.

Ichiro Suzuki had three hits and scored twice in the Mariners' sixth straight loss.

The losing pitcher was starter R.A. Dickey (3-8).
