NFL: Denver 23, Dallas 13

DENVER, Aug. 17 (UPI) -- Jay Cutler completed 16-of-20 passes for 178 yards and a touchdown Saturday night to lead the Denver Broncos past Dallas 23-13 in a pre-season game.

Michael Pittman gained 41 yards on 16 carries and Andre Hall carried seven times for 24 yards and a touchdown. Brandon Marshall had six catches for 59 yards and a TD and rookie Eddie Royal caught two passes for 67 yards for Denver.

Brad Johnson went 9-for-12 passing for 114 yards and a touchdown, while Richard Bartel completed 7-of-14 for 107 yards and one interception for Dallas. Cowboys' quarterback Tony Romo connected on 6-of-9 for 33 yards.

Miles Austin had two catches for 42 yards and a touchdown for Dallas.
