MLS: Colorado 2, Kansas City 1

DENVER, Aug. 17 (UPI) -- Conor Casey scored twice Saturday night to lead the Colorado Rapids to a 2-1 MLS win over Kansas City.

Terry Cooke and Mehdi Ballouchy assisted on Casey's fourth goal of the season at 11 minutes, and then Casey scored his fifth goal unassisted in the 47th minute.

Michael Harrington had tied at 1-1 with his first goal of the season for the Wizards in the 44th minute.

Colorado (7-10-3) pulled to within one point of third-place Dallas in the Western Conference. Kansas City (6-7-7) remains mired in last place in the East.
