
LOS ANGELES, Aug. 17 (UPI) -- Andre Ethier's two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth inning Sunday gave the LA Dodgers a dramatic 7-5 win over Milwaukee.
Ethier's second homer in the contest, and 15th this season, came with one on and no outs in the ninth against losing pitcher Carlos Villanueva (4-6). Ethier's 14th homer was a solo shot in the fifth.
Manny Ramirez and Matt Kemp homered and had two hits for the Dodgers, who climbed into a tie for first place in NL West with the Arizona Diamondbacks, who lost to Houston 3-0 Sunday.
Joe Beimel (4-0) got the win in relief for LA after snuffing out Milwaukee's four-run-ninth inning rally.
Milwaukee's Ryan Braun had two hits, one a two-run ninth inning homer. Ray Durham hit a two-run ninth-inning single.
One of Mike Cameron's two hits was a fourth-inning solo homer, while Corey Hart added two hits in the Brewers' second loss in the three-game series.
