WASHINGTON, Aug. 17 (UPI) -- Ian Stewart and Seth Smith smashed three-run homers Sunday, keying the Colorado Rockies' 7-2 victory at Washington.
Stewart's blast gave Colorado a 3-1 lead with no outs in the top of the fourth inning. Smith's homer capped s four-run eighth-inning outburst that also featured a solo homer by Brad Hawpe his second hit of the game.
Willy Taveras added three hits and stole third base for the second straight game for the Rockies, who completed a three-game sweep to avenge a three-game Washington sweep earlier this season and extend the Nationals' losing streak to 10 games.
Winner Aaron Cook (15-8) surrendered two earned runs and seven hits in five innings.
Washington's Lastings Milledge and Pete Orr had two hits and one RBI apiece.
Willy Harris added two hits in the Nationals' first 10-game losing streak since the 1991 season in Montreal.
Losing pitcher Odalis Perez (5-9) gave up three runs -- two earned -- and just four hits in six innings.
