ATLANTA, Aug. 17 (UPI) -- Jeff Francoeur's four hits and two RBI Saturday helped the Braves beat San Francisco 11-5, stopping a five-game Atlanta losing streak.

Francoeur shattered a season-long slump with an RBI double in the bottom of the first inning, an RBI single in the third, and singles in the fourth and sixth.

Greg Norton hit a two-run fourth inning homer. Omar Infante also had two RBI, while three others had two hits in Atlanta's 16-hit attack.

Winner Mike Hampton (2-1) allowed two earned runs and seven hits in six innings in his second start this season after reconstructive elbow surgery and other injuries.

Five San Francisco players had one RBI. Pablo Sandoval had three hits, and four others had two hits in the Giants' fifth loss in their last six games.

In his major league debut, losing pitcher Matt Palmer (0-1) surrendered six earned runs and seven hits in 2 1/3 innings.
