EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Aug. 16 (UPI) -- Brett Favre, now playing for the New York Jets, completed 5-of-6 passes for 48 yards and one touchdown, Saturday but Washington posted a 13-10 pre-season win.
It was the first time since 1991 that Favre played for a team other than Green Bay. The Packers traded Favre Aug. 6 to the Jets in exchange for a conditional 2009 draft pick.
Brett Ratliff connected on 13-of-19 passes for 148 yards for New York.
Colt Brennan completed 4-of-5 passes for 79 yards and one touchdown for Washington. Rock Cartwright rushed for a game-high 90 yards on six carries and Ladell Betts picked up 34 yards on the ground before leaving the game with a mild right knee strain.
Trailing 10-6 late in the fourth quarter, Brennan led the Redskins on an 80-yard drive, capped by a 33-yard touchdown pass to Jason Goode with 1:09 remaining.
