MLB: Oakland 6, Chicago White Sox 4

OAKLAND, Calif., Aug. 16 (UPI) -- Kurt Suzuki's two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth inning, one of four Oakland homers Friday, gave the Athletics a 6-4 victory over the Chicago White Sox.

Suzuki, pinch-hitting, hit a D.J. Carrasco pitch over the left-field fence, scoring pinch-runner Cliff Pennington.

Jack Cust slugged two home runs and totaled three RBI and Mark Ellis added a solo homer for the Athletics.

Reliever Huston Street (3-5) pitched a scoreless ninth inning and earned the win.

A.J. Pierzynski and Carlos Quentin hit solo homers for Chicago.

Horacio Ramirez (1-2) took the loss in relief for the White Sox.
