

MASON, Ohio, Aug. 15 (UPI) -- Russian Nadia Petrova scored a one-hour, straight-set victory Friday to reach the semifinals of the Western and Southern Financial Group Women's Open in Ohio.
Petrova breezed to a 6-2, 6-3 win over Lilia Osterloh, an American wild card entry, setting up a semifinal battle with countrywoman Maria Kirilenko.
Kirilenko won her quarterfinal match against Sabine Lisicki of Germany 6-2, 1-6, 6-1.
Petrova is seeded No. 2 and Kirilenko No. 3 in the hard-court event at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason, Ohio.
Fifth-seeded Amelie Mauresmo of France also advanced, defeating Vania King of the United States 6-2, 6-4.
Mauresmo's semifinal opponent will be countrywoman Nathalie Dechy, who ousted sixth-seeded Aleksandra Woznia of Canada 7-6 (7-4), 7-5.
