Olympic Medal: W Swim 200 Fly

BEIJING, Aug. 13 (UPI) -- Liu Zige of China won the Olympic gold medal Thursday in the women's 200-meter butterfly.

Another Chinese swimmer, Jiao Liuyant, captured the silver medal. The bronze went to Jessicah Schipper of Australia.

Schipper held the world record of 2:05.40 going into the race, but Liu broke it with a time of 2:04.18.
