Lorig will meet Ana Maria Rendon of Colombia in the quarterfinals Wednesday.

American Jennifer Nichols was knocked out in the second round after equaling the Olympic record of 114 points (out of 120) during a first-round win over Ika Yuliana Rochmawati of Indonesia.

Park Sung-hyun, Joo Hyun-jung and Yun Ok-hee all reached the quarterfinals for South Korea. They joined in winning the team gold medal earlier in the week.
