Colts cornerback Coe out for season

INDIANAPOLIS, Aug. 12 (UPI) -- Indianapolis Colts cornerback Michael Coe, who had surgery on his left knee last week, will miss the 2008 season, the team announced Tuesday.

Although Coe might recover in time to play at some point during the 2008 schedule, Coach Tony Dungy said it was decided to put him on the waived-injured list, ending his season.

"It's tough for Mike," Dungy said in a report in The Indianapolis Star. " But he'll bounce back. He'll be fine."

The 6-foot, 190-pound Coe played in six games in 2007, his rookie season.
