Olympic Medal: W Shooting Trap

BEIJING, Aug. 11 (UPI) -- Satu Makela-Nummela of Finland won the Olympic gold medal Monday in the women's shooting trap competition.

Zuzana Stefecekova of Slovakia was awarded the silver and the bronze went to Corey Gogdell of the United States.

This was the third time the event had been contested in the Olympics and the first time an American had won a medal.
