BEIJING, Aug. 11 (UPI) -- Zach Railey, one of the United States' best hopes for an Olympic sailing medal, dropped back to second place Monday in the Finn class.

With six races out of 11 having been contested, Railey fell one point behind two-time British Olympic champion Ben Ainslie.

Britain also had the lead after six races in the women's Yngling class with the American crew of Sally Barkow, Carrie Howe and Deborah Capozzi in fourth place.

After six races in the 49er class, Australia had the lead.

Four other classes got under way with two races each Monday. The Netherlands led after the opening day of the women's 470 and France was out front in the men's 470.

Israel Shahar Zubari was in the lead after the first two races in men's windsurfing and China's Yin Jian was ahead in the women's event.
